1. Which type cable shall I use for Cat Splitter System?
All shielded Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a and Cat7 cables are suitable for out Audio/DMX Extenders.
2. Does Cat Splitter System cause latencies?
No. This is a simple adapter, that doesn’t change the signal, read or use the signal other than any else cable. That’s why signals are transmitted without any delay or phase shift.
3. Can I use phantom power with Cat Splitter System?
Yes! Phantom power is applied to the signal wires only, not to common ground. So there is no influence on other channels. Please bear in mind, that a GND connection is required! (Which is recommended for audio applications anyway)
4. Is the whole Cat Splitter System compatible within itself?
Yes! All Cat Splitter System use the same pinout. So all items can be linked in every combination. We cannot guarantee compatibility to other manufacturers, but will be happy to help verifying whether your product matches our pinout.
5. Can I include Cat Splitter System into my IT Network?
No! Cat Splitter System just uses cat cables, but doesn’t match any structures of network technologies.
6. What is the maximum transmission distance these products can support?

The main functions of the two types are similar.
But this box type (PS4FD PS4MD) has ground lift button to switch the ground loop and eliminate the noise, and more robust and durable than PS4F&PS4M.
And it's also smaller and easier to carry around.
